Here's the first of three essays on the 2007 MN State Fair.
The promised land.
It took me and my boyfriend about thirty minutes (in the sweltering, August heat) to find the origin of the mysterious tubs we saw people carrying.
"Plain or chocolate?" The dairy industry sponsors this booth every year: all the milk you can drink for $1. I was able to drink one and a half cups.
Milk and cookies, the advertising campaign...

Very nice B&W work, you can't go wrong with Milk & Cookies. A Fair for all and no fair for anyone as The Firesign Theater would say.
