Milk & Cookies, The Fair Pt. I

Here's the first of three essays on the 2007 MN State Fair.
The promised land.

It took me and my boyfriend about thirty minutes (in the sweltering, August heat) to find the origin of the mysterious tubs we saw people carrying.

"Plain or chocolate?" The dairy industry sponsors this booth every year: all the milk you can drink for $1. I was able to drink one and a half cups.

Milk and cookies, the advertising campaign...

Does this one really need a caption?

News

I'll begin posting the photo essays late Wednesday. Okay, so it's not the middle of November. But when your daytime highs hover at freezing, I say it's close enough.

See you 'round!

Down south...of the Twin Cities

When people ask me where I live, I say Minneapolis. Or the Twin Cities.

The funny thing is, I'm no closer to Minneapolis/St. Paul than I was to Cincinnati when I grew up in the suburbs there. It's still forty or more minutes to reach the city proper.

Maybe this blog can correct that somehow.

This is about Jordan.
